The project «canoeing through a better life» or «palea por tus sueños» in spanish is an iniciative by Adrián Ruiz with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Panasonic.
As you can see in the first video, sport and canoeing have changed a lot of people’s lives in Calasparra, and between them Adrián, Clara and Juan have achieved amazing things.
Adrián was the first spanish Young Change Maker for the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018 (video in spanish)
Juan has been several times in the spanish national canoeing slalom team and he was European vice-champion in teams back in 2012.
Clara has been six times spanish champion and she has been in the national team four times, competing in world and European championships.
